Fool your friends by altering words in famous text passages! Players "hide" in a paragraph of text by changing a word, and the seeker tries to find the alterations.
Featuring categories such as:
- Shakespeare
- Song Lyrics
- Internet Copypastas
- Delta Airlines Safety Presentation
This game was made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 60 with the theme Old Tech. I wasn't particularly inspired by the theme, but tried to lean into typewriters as a visual identity at least.
- Code: Python with PyGame, packaged for web with Pygbag
- Audio: MuseScore 3, Audacity
- Art: Paint.NET
No generative AI was used for game code, audio, or art. Everything was made with my little fleshy human fingers.
Post-compo changelogs:
(No game content has been added, and no sound or visuals have been changed. I have only fixed networking instability bugs that were not really possible for me to find until real players started playing the game.)
- 10/20/26: Fixed a server crash that could be caused by a race condition
- 10/20/26: Fixed a client soft-lock that could be caused by a race condition
- 10/20/26: Fixed a bug where the game would forget who was seeking and report it incorrectly in "Player 1 found Player 2" popups
- 10/20/26: Fixed a bug where the game would forget who was seeking and prematurely "lock in" the former seeker for the next round
